Sanitised UK refills are made with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol, as recommended by the World Health Organisation. Ethanol (Ethyl Alcohol) requires a higher percentage to achieve the same effect as Isopropyl Alcohol, which is why some sanitiser liquids contain 80% alcohol. When you see a higher percentage number on other products, it doesn’t mean it is better, it is simply using a different type of alcohol.
